What A Morning!

Today's picture is of my pool : ) I didn't want a pool when we built the house but G insisted. Ladies, the men in our lives can be right sometimes! I couldn't imagine life without my pool now. The kids are never out of it when they are over.
I was so tired after college last night I got home and literally fell straight into bed. I didn't even bother watching the end of the Origin match. I slept like a baby and was all refreshed this morning. Ahhh the wonder of sleep.
I headed out for a cardio session bright and early with 2 friends and introduced them to a killer hill in our area. I have been helping this couple get fit and in a space of 1 month their fitness has improved so dramatically. It is amazing to see their transformation. At the top of the hill is the most sensational lookout that faces North to Noosa. After that session I took my puppy out for a run around the block. He loves his morning runs and gets quite cranky when he misses out.
I am finishing work early today. I have an appointment with a Kineasiologist (sp?) I am trying several different mechanisms to work on my mental strength in the lead up to the Nationals. I'm not sure how to explain what they do but I will fill you in after I have experienced it! I am feeling quite excited about the appointment. I think it is more that I am taking positive steps to increase my success.
I have booked in to have my skinfolds taken tomorrow. Time to start monitoring the figures! I scored an awesome sponsorship partnership with a new gym that has opened here. Will fill you in on more about that in the near future.
Have a grand day everybody.

Hi Di - pool looks great! I've never had a pool, but we're trying to find another house to buy at the moment, and if they've got a pool I think "hmmm that would be nice"! I always wonder how much work they would be though!
Your Kineasiology appointment sounds interesting - hope it goes well.
Hilary
I agree Hilary - Di your pool looks great. Hopefully it will be warm enough while we are there to go for a swim!! Oh I can't wait!!!!!
Do tell more about your sponsorship!! That sounds very exciting, go you!!
I'd be very interested to hear how your appointment goes, good luck with it.
Lia :o)
I am going to be swimming in that pool very soon!!!! I can't wait. What happens if I don't want to go home - ever? :) I keep forgetting we will have a nice house to go home to by then so I am sure you will be able to get me to leave. Can I bring the beach and the pool and the weather with me? :)
Hi JL, I saw your comp pics and results over at BodyBlog. Glad to here you enjoyed the experience so much! Are you going down to the July show?
From my experience there are very few people who have a blow out after their first comp. I did it after my first 2 comps and it has taken me until this time around to really focus on my long term goals and put the breaks on the selfdestructive behaviour. This is why I am being really proactive about getting help with my mental discipline. I believe hypnotism is one of the mechanisms to help you reprogram you subconscious. If you are competing in 20 weeks, you have got nothing to lose by seeing someone. The change has to come from within you, no matter how many people give you advice it will just bounce off unless YOU are taking control FOR YOU. Go for it I say (the hypnotist no more food : ))
Sounds like I need a blogger pool party and invite Hilary, Jodie and Sue!!!
Thanks for your mail Katie. Will be sending you some back shortly. Looking forward to July : )
Lia - The appointment was very very interesting. I would recommend it and will be doing a follow up in 2 weeks. I'll write more in my blog.
JL - I made a boo boo in my comment. I meant very few people who DON'T have a blow out!!
Maybe that was my reprogrammed subconscious telling me I won't be blowing out any more : )))
Hi Di!
Yep, I see the Perth comp is in October!
I love reading the blogs of people's lifestyle, challenges and lead up to comps such as yours, Sue's, and Jaime Lee's. Such the mental discipline and focus required to amazing and everyone ends up looking terrific!
So I've made a goal to attend to watch and be audience at the Perth comp in October. And I have some of my own fitness/physique goals to achieve by then.
Your blog is awesome, love the photos too!
