Loving This Thing Called Marriage!

I am still on top of the world! We arrived home from Thailand on Wednesday and are heading off to Yamba tomorrow. We will be back in time for the Qld Titles on Saturday. I can't wait for that. I know it will give me the bug again. Bugger I just accidentally deleted a big section of this damn post! Looking forward to seeing my clients on stage and helping them backstage. It will be great to see them achieving their comp dreams and goals.

Thailand was awesome, relaxed, patted tigers, rode elephants, ate, drank and spent the final 2 days shopping till we dropped! I bought 12 pair of shoes : )

Have visited the photographer and viewed the wedding photos. They are unbelievable. He mentioned using them for advertising shots and if he could send them in to the newspapers. Of course I said yes and added - if you need any models in the future we'd love to help you out!!!! I'm going to get some body portrait pics taken with him during my next comp prep. He was awesome. You can view his work at www.noosaweddings.com.au

Well that's all for now, I'll need to start a new blog soon as I've reached my Journey to Mrs B!!

Married Bliss

OMG I am now "Mrs Broeren". Our wedding day was just magic. It went so quickly. When I think about it the thought that I can't get out of my head is walking towards my husband! I had tunnel vision and couldn't look at anybody else. I was quite nervous and really felt like a princess!!

The only thing that went wrong was the weather! We couldn't hold the ceremony outdoors due to the torrential rain, but I really didn't care. Gerard stressed about that enough for both of us. I was incredibly relaxed about the whole thing.

So now we are kicking back enjoying our honeymoon in the lap of luxury!

This is where we are staying for our first week. Check it out www.TheRacha.com

Alive & Well

It has been a long time between posts for me. I have been a busy busy bee! I am on the countdown now – only 16 days to go – yippee!!

I have been working my little booty off, quite literally. I am wearing my “skinny” work pants today! I had a makeup and hair trial on Tuesday then went for a dress fitting. OMG – my dress was so loose, they had to make all sorts of unexpected alterations. I know I am going to lose some more and I’m a bit worried about the dress not fitting properly. Oh dear, but I’ve got to look great in my bikini : )

Other wedding things actioned:
• I had my nails done today. I wanted to get them done a little bit early so I can get used to them. I’m booked in for a refill in a fortnight.
• I have to best winter tan you have ever seen! I have been religiously tanning.
• We have picked up Gerards suit last week.
• I finally found my wedding shoes.
• We have an appointment with the musicians tomorrow and have decided to extend them so they play over breakfast as well.
• I have changed the flavour of the top layer of my wedding cake to Chocolate Mud!
• I have stocked up on lingerie : )
• I have booked a wait person to work for us at the second venue.
• I have received quotes on the finger food for the second venue.
• I have bought the bridal table decorations.
• 2 x bridesmaid dress fittings
• I have bought my jewellery
• I’ve had my bridal shower – and the subsequent hangover.
• I have ordered the drinks for second venue.

Other stuff still to do:
• Finalise bonbonniere and table tags.
• Meet with photographer.
• Have practice photo shoot
• Meet with restaurant to finalise menu and table plans.
• Meet with operator of venue 2 to co-ordinate times.

No doubt there are plenty of other things that will be added to my list!

I received the itinerary for our start time with the hairdresser. We have to start at 1.30am! Good thing I will be super duper excited………no chance of falling asleep!!

Flowers

Todays pic is of the flowers I have chosen for the bouquets. My favourite - phalenopsis orchid. I finalised my flower orders yesterday. They are costing a damn fortune but too bad!

I went shopping last night and bought a new outfit for my bridal shower. I wanted to wear a dress but ended up buying some 3/4 shorts and a gorgeous electric blue top. Also got lots of goodies for the prize basket for games. I will do the menu shopping tonight. So far the menu looks like this:
Cocktails - pina colada, mango dacquirie (sp?); some chocolate one I can't remember the name of!; cowboys plus wine
Food - mini quiches; ricotta and spinich squares; dip and carrot sticks; cheese platter; pumpkin soup; chicken and pasta salad; pavlova (oh my favourite).

I just love entertaining. I'll have to dig out my party lights tonight and find a way to float some candles in the pool.
This wedding is a wonderful excuse to entertain : )
Have a great weekend everybody!
