TIME GOES SO QUICKLY

Todays pic is one of Rach and I the morning of the Qld Titles. This was last October, so hence the title of this blog. Thanks for the pics Rach. Love the new car too! Ours has been delayed another week. We will have to go for a new car cruise : )

I have been away in the luxurious town of Gympie (not) for a work conference over the last couple of days. Very Very proud to say I took all my own food and did not enter the dining room to ensure I avoided temptation. I haven't eaten a single lolly at college either. Getting stronger by the day.

Weight was delightfully down this morning. Officially under 55kgs now. Yippee! I bought a new pair of digi kitchen and bathroom scales. Getting very precise with this prep. Not much else to report. Had 2 exams at college last night. Got 100% for both. Yippee again. I'm yippeeing a lot today, not feeling too yippe though.

Time to head off and pick up the photos from my birthday dinner partay. Believe it or not I'm now 34.......and you all thought I was only 25 : ) Ha!

FOCUSSED

Todays pic is my one of my favourite comp pics..............................nice delts if I do say so myself!

Well, my introduction to Kinesiology was veeery interesting. It was my first experience with any natural therapy - straight in the deep end I say! The process relates to muscle testing to identify emotional and physical factors that are affecting the sub conscious and subsequent conscious behaviours; a realignment process is then undertaken by the practitioner.

In all honesty I would say it is quite bizarre. I was impressed and will be returning in 2 weeks. My testing identified my spleen was not functioning efficiently (spleen processes sugar in the body); my lats were not functioning efficiently (oh so important for posing!); insulin imbalance (responsible for sugar cravings); other than those negatives all else is good! They also test urine and saliva for ph balance and some other stuff I can't remember off the top.

I had the best nights sleep last night, I didn't even wake up to pee. I felt incredibly mellow when I left my appointment. So if you are game enough to explore natural therapies, I recommend it.

I just booked my airfares to the NATIONALS! Jetstar are having a 2 for one sale at the moment. Scored my tickets for $49 each. What a bargain. I'm aiming high and getting organised early. Unfortunately jetstar don't fly to Perth though : ((

I am booked in to have my skinfolds taken at the gym tonight. Time to start monitoring the figures. I am doing a cleanse over this weekend prior to starting "official comp nutrition plan" on Monday. Yippee, bring it on. Can't wait to have a rippling 6 pack again! I can't be going to the July show wearing my body doona.........although It would probably help to keep me warm. I don't tolerate the cold weather too well.

I dug out a picture of the Open Short winners from the Nats last year and have stuck it on my computer. BRING IT OOOONNNN!

What A Morning!

Today's picture is of my pool : ) I didn't want a pool when we built the house but G insisted. Ladies, the men in our lives can be right sometimes! I couldn't imagine life without my pool now. The kids are never out of it when they are over.

I was so tired after college last night I got home and literally fell straight into bed. I didn't even bother watching the end of the Origin match. I slept like a baby and was all refreshed this morning. Ahhh the wonder of sleep.

I headed out for a cardio session bright and early with 2 friends and introduced them to a killer hill in our area. I have been helping this couple get fit and in a space of 1 month their fitness has improved so dramatically. It is amazing to see their transformation. At the top of the hill is the most sensational lookout that faces North to Noosa. After that session I took my puppy out for a run around the block. He loves his morning runs and gets quite cranky when he misses out.

I am finishing work early today. I have an appointment with a Kineasiologist (sp?) I am trying several different mechanisms to work on my mental strength in the lead up to the Nationals. I'm not sure how to explain what they do but I will fill you in after I have experienced it! I am feeling quite excited about the appointment. I think it is more that I am taking positive steps to increase my success.

I have booked in to have my skinfolds taken tomorrow. Time to start monitoring the figures! I scored an awesome sponsorship partnership with a new gym that has opened here. Will fill you in on more about that in the near future.

Have a grand day everybody.

Introducing My Man

I've been jibbering on about my wedding so thought I'd better introduce you to my future hubby! Here is my sweetie and I. This is part of the proposal. What a romantic. He surprised me with a helicopter flight on our anniversary, arranged for the chopper to fly past our house and he had a giant banner hanging off the back deck asking me to marry him! Who could say no to that : )

Phat Camp Friendships!

Here is a picture of another wonderful friend I have made during my fitness journey. The beautiful Rachel Pyle! We met at Phat Camp and I had the pleasure of helping Rachel at her first comp. This saw me spinning out at the military lifestyle! Jumping on the grass at the Navy base and pretending to drown overboard : ) And being obnoxiously smelly on the way home due to an overdose of protein bars! He he, I know you are rolling your eyes and giggling at me now Rach : )

I had the pleasure of meeting the Motivational LIA at this comp as well. Thanks for the welcome Lia, I often pop in and read your blog.

I can't believe I have received so many comments already, yippee, see how easily excited I am!

Thank you for your comments Jode, Hilary, Ra Ra Rachel, Lia, Buff Michelle, Kerry, Jehanne and Pip. I need to get a bit more efficient at commenting properly. Sounds like there is going to be a HUGE cheers squad at the July comp!

I don't think I'll ever live that damn unicorn down Michelle : ) You are looking sizzling yourself young lady! Fighting off all the men no doubt.

I had a great workout last night. Shoulders and Chest. I trained with a girl from college last night. She has taken an interest in competitions so I am introducing her to the dirty world of hard core training : ) I believe she positively enjoyed it too. I have college again tonight. I am really enjoying my studies. The only negative is I have had to shift around my training days and now train 1 day on a weekend. Not such a bad thing though.

It was a bit chilly this morning. I was down the park with a couple of friends this morning doing a circuit workout. It is very spectacular seeing the sun rise out of the ocean. The day is just sensational today. I really need to get my home computer sorted out so I can be logging on at home. Can't get away with reading everybody's blogs at work.

Have a wonderful day everybody!

Engrossed in all things Body Building!

This is a picture of my lovely friend Cheryl and I after having a great time in the Overall Posedown. This picture describes our mutual admiration of each other and friendship. Cheryl is so motivating it is hard to believe she is real!

We competed in the same class in our novice show in April 2005. She came 2nd and I came 3rd in Novice Figure. I thought she was a rude cow! When our paths crossed at Phat Camp it was the start of a sensational friendship.

There are a lot of egos in this sport. But - there are also many great friendships to be made.

Another wonderful friend I have made who started me on this journey is the "Legendary Sue Heintze". Sue is another wonderful woman who is an exceptional role model who has such a positive impact on mine and so many other peoples lives.

Cheryl and I will both be heading to Melbourne in July to watch Sue strut her stuff. I am STOKED to be her helping hand on the day.

So.....I am engrossing myself in all things bodybuilding. Focussing on training and finalising the nitty gritty of my nutrition and training plans for the remainder of this 16 weeks. I just bought myself a new diary to start journalling my food, stick pictures and keep me on track when my enthusiasm will undoubtly drop. We must prepare ourselves for these hard times. Anyone that doesn't think they will happen has their head in the clouds. I have offended some people in the past with my blunt manner during these periods : ) I'm proud to say "I'm Real".

Time to clean up this desk and head off to the gym to trash my shoulders!

More about me!

I'm baaccckk! Here is a picture of me at my last comp, The INBA Qld "It's a Girl Thing" Show. I won my class, Open Short Figure. The comp was in early April. I am very pleased to say I have maintained quite well after this show. I learnt my lesson about blowing out last time : ( So my comp goal for the remainder of the year is to compete at the Australian Titles and hopefully qualify for the World Titles in Perth. I've never been to Perth, so it would be a wonderful add on to our honeymoon!

I attended a posing session yesterday and saw MARAINA in action. Goodness me, she moves beautifully. Very elegant indeed, you should be very proud of yourself MARAINA. It was great getting involved in some comp stuff. Really helps me to keep my goals in sight. I was hoping to get to the GoldCoast NABBA/WFF show on Sunday but my step daughter has a dancing concert. I'm sure she will be far more entertaining : ) Who can beat a 7 year old singing and dancing??!!

I have college tonight, so it is a non training day for me. Got up nice and early and hit the pavement with my puppy this morning. We haven't ventured out that early yet. We got home as the sun was rising! Surprised me how many people are out exercising in the dark. We are not lone freakers : ) I am studying my PT quals at the moment. Studies should be all finished by the end of the year. I am so excited about becoming a PT and wanting to go to work every day. It has taken me 14 years of work to realise what I really want to be doing. Better late than never I say!

I regularly follow Maraina's, Sue Heintze's and Jodie Arnolds blogs here. What else.............well I should tell you about my wedding! I am marrying my wonderful man in a beach ceremony very early in the morning in September. SUE AND JODE will be there......freezing their lil butts off : ) We are going to Thailand for our honeymoon. We can't stop dreaming about the honeymoon. I have bought the most insane bikini for the honeymoon, so I am determined to be looking all razamadaz for that! The wedding is 16 weeks away and it is all organised. The only thing left to do is make the bridesmaids dresses. I picked my dress up on Friday. Had to stash it at a friends place as I can't trust the man not to sticky beak.

Well that is all for today.

Bad Start!

Hello! I just lost my first post. Doh. Still learning....

Well I read a few peoples blogs so I thought it was time to start my own. Some of you may know me from another blog site I was at in the past.

I am officially starting my wedding prep and first stage of my comp prep for the INBA Australian Titles in October.

Stay tuned for more details!
